Becca is an open-source video editor that thrives on clear operation, intuitive interfaces, and community collaboration. I designed Becca's interface while borrowing interface elements from other video editing software that I found to be successful.
Becca is aimed to draw in new and amateur video editors. Although powerful, editors similar to Premiere Pro typically have a rough learning curve, while other beginner-oriented editors such as iMovie have limited capabilities. Becca strikes the middle ground, having a clear interface that clearly lists each function.
Becca is also designed to have community-created content, so instead of having to find and learn how to do animations or transitions, you can directly import user-made animations or transitions from inside the application.
The interface was designed completely in Adobe Illustrator, with the main logo being made in Photoshop.
